IPL 2020 has been on its halfway with all the teams facing each other atleast once. Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently placed on 5th position with just three wins from 7 matches. They will have to try to win more matches during their second half journey in order to qualify for the playoffs. While Chennai is not the the Super Kings that they were before. Bowling has always been Sunrisers’ strongest part in the past but after the injury of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, it doesn’t remain the same. Except Rashid Khan, none of their bowlers have been consistent. T Natarajan has the ability to bowl yorkers but he needs to be dead accurate in upcoming matches. Khaleel Ahmed’s economy rate is definitely a cause of concern.

On the other hand Chennai Super Kings registered a win by 10 wickets against Kings XI Punjab and seemed to have change all negative narratives against them. Soon after that victory they went on to loose back to back matches and their early exit from the tournament could be on the cards.

In their seven matches, Chennai Super Kings have won just two and lost five. In their next 7 matches, CSK will have to win atleast four in order to have mathematical chance to qualify for the next round and their current form suggests that this journey is not going to be an easy one. As usual CSK skipper MS Dhoni was looking pretty cool and this attitude should help rest of the team mates to hold on their nerves.

Spinners were Super Kings’ strength in recent past but Ravindra Jadeja is too predictable this season while Piyush Chawla has been expensive. Exclusion of Imran Tahir from the team remains a question. Despite poor of spinners, CSK bowlers have done great job so far. Sam Curran has been a valuable addition in the team while Dwayne Bravo is getting wickets in death overs. Apart from overseas all rounders, Shardul Thakur is picking up wickets too.

If we talk about their batting department, Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu have scored runs consistently while Shane Watson has failed to convert his starts into a big score. No doubt that CSK is in a tricky situation but the kind of experience they have, CSK may stun everybody in their upcoming fixtures.
