Chennai Super Kings have won five out of last six matches they played against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

IPL 2020 has brought lot of exciting and surprising moment for cricket lovers which is making this tournament interesting. Two games getting decided in super over in initial stages of IPL is something that we haven’t witnessed in history. Apart from this one of the most successful team of the tournament and last year runner up Chennai Super Kings is sitting at the bottom in points table with back to back losses.

This is something no one would have seen before. Team like CSK in bottom of the table has surprised everyone. Before the start of this tournament they were strong contenders of top four spot but with back to back defeats, there are several questions which will increase Chennai’s tension.

In the 14th match of the tournament, Chennai Super Kings will meet Sunrisers Hyderabad at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Super Kings are desperate to gain their winning momentum whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad are coming off an incredible win over Delhi Capitals. It’s a contest between bottom two teams and the winner of this match will certainly move up in the rankings. Hence another cracking contest is on the cards.

Chennai Super Kings haven’t had good start in Indian Premier League 2020. They lost their premium players ( Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh ) before the start of this tournament. With Ambati Rayudu injured as well, CSK is struggling with team’s balance. Chennai Super Kings are known for their spin attack but as they are playing out of sub continent, bowling has become their headache. Lungi Ngidi leaked lots of runs in first two matches and was eventually replaced by Josh Hazlewood.

Ravindra Jadeja’s form has also declined as he is leaking runs at an economy rate of 10.50. It’s not all about poor bowling, even in batting department, Chennai’s top order has failed badly. Murali Vijay has shown no glimpse of maturity as an opener while Shane Watson has thrown his wicket after good starts. Faf du Plessis is the lone warrior at the moment with the bat in middle order. In absence of Ambati Rayudu, Ruturaj Gaikwad has failed to grab a golden opportunity to prove his point.

Skipper MS Dhoni has sticked to bat in lower order even when his side needed him to bat up the order. In upcoming matches CSK must come up with solid game plan in order to maintain their reputation as well as remain in hunt for top four.

Sunrisers Hyderabad finally managed to get off the mark in points table after beating Delhi Capitals in a close contest. After back to back losses, SRH included Kane Williamson in the final playing eleven and Williamson’s inclusion worked for them. With that win now they have moved to seventh spot from bottom of the table and will look forward to rise further.

In the first two matches, Sunrisers Hyderabad were struggling with number four spot. Williamson was included to solve their middle order problem and he played fine innings of 41 runs that came off just 26 deliveries.

Apart from batting, players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid clicked all together in the third game where the duo managed to pick up wickets at regular intervals. Debutant Abdul Samad also impressed with a short cameo. Sunrisers Hyderabad is a kind of team which is known to defend low totals and their game against Delhi Capitals was no different.

T Natarajan gained headlines after his brilliant spell of fast bowling. He bowled regular yorkers in death overs with pin point accuracy. Khaleel Ahmed is weak in line and needs to work in that area. Rashid Khan returned in form when team needed him most. He took three crucial wickets against Delhi Capitals and proved his worth in T20 cricket again.

Both the teams are strong but Sunrisers Hyderabad have better bowling attack than Chennai Super Kings. It will be pretty interesting to see how the game goes on when both these sided will face each other on the ground.
